Greetings!
What kind of investment can you make that will return your money seven times over? At the recent Arts & Business Summit, Anne L'Ecuyer presented findings from an economic impact study on the arts that reflects this stunning stat: Every dollar a government invests into the arts bring back seven dollars in new revenue. It's a fact that simply cannot be ignorned, especially during challenging economic times. How best do we fortify the health of community, economically, socially, and in terms of quality of life? What will create jobs, attract tourists, engage residents, and generate revenues? A healthy and growing investment in the arts. Not just from governments, but from businesses, citizens, and organizations. From all of us. It gives a new perspective on stimulus dollars and what they could do for us in Flagstaff. In the coming weeks, we'll be posting materials and notes from the Summit online. Keep us bookmarked! Cheers, John Tannous "JT" Executive Director
