Flagstaff Cultural Partners

Greetings!

There's no better time in Flagstaff than Summer. Never mind that the weather is perfect (downright dreamy this week, don't you think?).  It's all the fantastic events happening our community.

Fourth of July weekend has so many offerings, I honestly don't know how to prioritize it all.  Concerts, festivals, parades, fairs and so many outdoor venues.  Saturday night alone offers three amazing concerts in three great Flagstaff venues.  How are you going to pick from it all?

I've got a hint for you. Start with First Friday ArtWalk (tonight!), visit your local galleries, buy some art, enjoy the night and maybe even take in a movie.  Let the rest roll from there.

Cheers,

John Tannous "JT"
Executive Director

FCP Staff Top 5 - Our Fave Flag Bands

While the FCP top five is usually a topic of heated and diligent debate that consumes at least one weekly staff meeting per month, this month we made peace easily over one topic: the five have a rather large, mushy soft spot in our hearts for live local music. With unanimous agreement there, we hastily moved on to arguing our personal picks.

Here are the five local bands that you will find at least two-fifths, if not more, of the FCP staff enjoying while on stage.

  • Sambatuque - Worldly rhythms and beats that make you move yo' feet!
  • The Skansters - Reggae and Ska for every venue, for every body.
