 Night Visions IV

Presented by   As part of the 2011 Festival of Science, the Dark Sky Coalition and Flagstaff Cultural Partners are proud to present Night Visions IV art exhibition, Night Visions IV is a collection of artwork from artists that seeks to explore and celebrate the night sky and the deep, positive connection that human beings have with the night. Arriving at the Coconino Center for the Arts for its fourth time, this exhibtion is a national juried show which features work in a variety of media- photograpy, painting, sculpture, installation, and others. Viewers will encounter everthing from the most literal interpretations of the night to those with a much more avant-garde approach.   Night at High Noon: Total Eclipse  by Dave Schleicher   The public is invited to attend the opening reception for Night Visions IV on September 24, 2011 from 6:00-8:00pm. The gallery is open Tuesday-Saturday from 11:00am-5:00pm. Admission is free.

Berta Rojas in Concert  Saturday, September 24 Presented by   Grand Canyon Guitar Society and Flagstaff Cultural Partners present the first concert of the 2011-2012 concert season, classical guitarist Berta Rojas at 8:00pm on Saturday, September 24, 2011, immediately following the reception for Night Visions IV.         On the concert stage, Berta moves easily between classical and other musical genres. She continues to captivate audiences and critics from Carnegie Hall to the South Bank Centre in London, selling out performances at venues around the world.            Berta Rojas Saturday, September 24, 2011 Concert starts at 8:00pm Coconino Center for the Arts     Tickets can also be purchased at the Coconino Center for the Arts, Arizona Music Pro, Cedar Music, or Custom Sound Instruments in Flagstaff. Colin Hay in Concert   Thursday, September 29 Presented by   While Colin Hay's voice and visage are familiar to millions as front-man, songwriter, and vocalist of pop sensation Men at Work, the past ten years have found him re-introducing himself to a new generation of fans. The frequent use of his music in TV and film has proven the timeless appeal of his songs: quizzical, curious, cynical yet open-hearted.         Colin Hay Thursday, September 29, 2011 Concert starts at 7:30pm Coconino Center for the Arts     Tickets can also be purchased at the Coconino Center for the Arts, at Rainbow's End, or by calling (928) 779-2300. Call for Artists: It's Elemental at the Coconino Center for the Arts

The It's Elemental exhibition has been showcasing the art of the finest craftspeople of Northern Arizona for over a decade. Artists may submit work in any 3-D medium: glass, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, wood, and more. Call for Artists: Artsy Bra

Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare (CCNAH) is on a mission to continue increasing breast cancer awareness and raising awareness of breast health issues. To this end, CCNAH will display the Arty Bras October-which is Breast Cancer Awareness month-through December. The pieces will be displayed in Flagstaff during October's First Friday Artwalk.
