Non-Profits & the Community

Flagstaff City Council & Mayoral Candidate Forum
Thursday, April 12
Coconino Center for the Arts

~:: See the video of the full Forum here ::~

A forum with candidates for Flagstaff City Council and Mayor, “Non-profits & the Community”, was held on Thursday, April 12, 2012, from 5:00 – 8:30 P.M., at the Coconino Center for the Arts in Flagstaff, Arizona.

All six candidates for Flagstaff City Council and both Mayoral candidates attended “Non-profits & the Community”.  The forum provided voters the opportunity to hear each candidate’s views on a variety of issues relating to non-profit organizations’ impact on the community’s economic and social health.

Non-Profits & the Community opened with a Reception from 5:00 – 6:00pm, where attendees could speak with the candidates in an informal setting.  The 10th Annual Recycled Art Exhibition was open for viewing during the Reception. The Forum’s moderator was John Stark, general manager of KNAU Arizona Public Radio.

Questions were accepted from the community in advance of the Forum.  Many of those questions were included in the Forum on Thursday, and some were asked by the community members who posed the questions. All questions asked at the Forum were determined by the moderator.

The Forum is presented by KNAU Arizona Public Radio and NAU’s Philosophy in the Public Interest in partnership with Flagstaff Cultural Partners.
